Reflection

Computer Imaging
Reflection
My journey in this class was very interesting I wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into at first and I will admit I was a little scared and extremely nervous. I always like making videos and I just wanted to perfect what I was trying to do. At the beginning I felt that my videos were all right and just adequate but I found that it was really hard to find and create ideas to make my videos and make sure they were legit. A lot of that stress was because I was watching Dqfilms, who is my best friend and a professional and get paid to make amazing videos. Towards the middle of the class I felt that my group project was better then I got a grade for and was a huge challenge. The group project scared me because we had to duplicate the video to the best of our ability, but when It came time to the final I said to myself that I have to knock it out of the park and have a hilarious idea and just do me. I did this with the topic of the behind the scenes of professional water balloon catching.  All in all I felt that my journey was very successful I made some good friends and learned some amazing concepts on the art of creating, producing and acting in films.  So I’m going to take my new found abilities and hopefully move on to the next level I wont be taking anymore classes but I will keep practicing and perfecting the video techniques and my abilities.

Rationale

Rationale

A rationale is a set of reasons or a logical basis for a course of action or a particular belief. My video was a mocumentary of the behind the scenes of professional water balloon catching. Doing this project stumped me for so long until I was lying on my bed and say my water balloon bungee launcher and that’s how I got the idea and concept. So what I did was get my two closest friends and gave them there motive to act like and how I wanted to look and then found one of my friends that is a camera man from Germain Arena to provide me with his camera; just so I didn’t break it and because I didn’t want to mess it up. How we did some of the clips was in super slow-mo and with a lot of retake that’s why I made a bloopers menu. The reasoning behind this was because I’m a funny kid I like to make people laugh and I thought that this is a funny and good idea on how to do it. The video took a while to edit but was a lot of fun and tricky to make look good and perfect it so it ran smoothly. I hope you enjoy and live, laugh, love!

Rationale

Graphic Design
Basically a rationale is a set of reasons or a logical basis for a course of action or a particular belief.  I did my book project on Alice in Wonderland. A couple of reasons why I picked this story instead of the others for this project is because I feel if you don’t know what your doing if you have something familiar to you it makes everything that much easier to work with. I’ve read the Alice books seen all of the movies plenty of time and have had a lot of experience in doing projects with this story from way back to high school, when the theme for out homecoming was Alice in Wonderland and I just happened to be in charge of the decorating of the venue.  I just told you why I told you picked this story so next is how.  How I made my book? I had some very creative and interesting ideas that when talked about sounded amazing but when put to paper or tried to be executed was a total fail. Like my hinge idea was a bust. Plus after seeing another students in the class’s book I was amazed and astonished by ho much work and time and craftsmanship he put into his book design. So in the end I made my book simple and to the point as a little kids book.

Reflection

Graphic Design
This graphic design class was a real eye opener for me.  Putting more time towards my work could have been useful but now that’s it’s the end of the year its to later for that.  I found out that I love computer graphics just not when its for a grade.  That is where I struggled a little bit in this class.  Also the fact that I am more used to 3D design and different programs, learning a whole bunch of new ones didn’t help either.  For this final project I felt that I worked very efficiently I didn’t wait till last minute I had my idea in my head and went with it.  Yes I had some bumps along the way and something’s didn’t work out the way I planned but sometimes that’s the way the cookie crumbles.  My book is short sweet and to the point.  I felt it was extremely hard to pick scenes out of like a five-paragraph excerpt of and amazing book and movie.  I worked extremely hard on the details between some of my main figures because I know I would be using them more then once.  So now back to my work that I have done thorough out this semester.  You know and I have a great interest and love the works of Sheppard Fairy. But doing my own work was really hard.  I think my favorite piece f work that I did in this class was when we had to create our own font. That was when I used my best friend to spell the letters with his hand and made t interesting by using a different outfit, from shirt, glasses and had to make the font more interesting. I also liked the magazine cover.  But all in all I think I’ve learned a lot of new things by taking this class and have perfected my old abilities.
